The son of Ralph and Ethel Dennett, Flight Officer Pruett Mullens Dennett received Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate 4792 on an Avro biplane at Royal Naval Air Station, Redcar on 31 May 1917. Posted to Naval 8 in 1917, Dennett scored ten victories flying the Sopwith Camel before he was killed in action.
