Wilfred Ernest Young was a Second Lieutenant with the 3rd Battalion of the Dorsetshire Regiment before he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps.

   A gallant, skilful, and determined patrol leader. During the last few months he has destroyed five enemy machines, and previous to joining his present squadron he accounted for three more.
