On 10 October 1918, Kohlbach cheated death by baling out of his Fokker D.VII when he was purposely rammed by a SPAD XIII piloted by Wilbert White, an American ace. White was killed in the collision and Kohlbach was credited with his fifth and final victory of the war. |
