Description:

This is an original example of the WWI US Mark II-B Fragmentation Bomb. This is the US version of the British Hewlett-Cooper Bomb.
It is complete, except that it has no bursting charge and no charge in its detonator (completely inert). It is maker-marked "LF&M CO" (Lycoming Foundry & Machine) and has the MarkII-B inkstamp. There is also a US Army Ordnance Dept stamp (ordnance belt) on the tail fin section. The fuse section is complete and very wicked-looking.
I've never seen one of these for sale and have based my price upon the sale price of the more common Cooper Bombs.
