I have never seen anything which enumerates Italian losses in WWI. Does anyone have information?
Italy built 20,000 planes 1914-1918 and imported additional planes from other Allied countries. The Hanriot fighter comes to mind and i am reasonably sure there were others, as well. Using the French model, the highest percentage (77% losses) I come up with 15,400 planes lost from all causes. Using the German model, the lowest percentage of losses (62% losses) the number is 12,400 losses from all causes. Losses would reflect planes replaced because of obsolesence, accidents and enemy action. Am I anywhere near reality with this?
