It went bump and has now been resurrected with Richard Franks as it's editor. It is profoundly to be hoped that it doesn't go the way of other Richard Franks titles and become little more than a catalogue of the latest releases with scarcely any real modeling content.

I still haven't seen the new SMI but speaking to those that have my worst fears have been realized. It is now no more than SAMI part II. ie: Nothing but reviews of mostly after market items such as brass and decals. There
is a place for such a publication, but only one surely!
