OK, time for me to dip my toe in the water! I don't confess to knowing all the ins and outs of science, in fact I know very little, but I do know this. I believe that the Earth and everything in it was created in 6 days by God. You may think that to be a little naive but for a start, noone has been able to provide any evidence to the contrary. I know I may be sticking my head on the proverbial chopping block with that comment, but I stand by it. I've read all of the links on this question and people keep talking about the evidence for Evolution. I challenge anyone to tell me what the evidence is. It's all fair and good to say "scientists say there is evidence", but my sceptical mind (and it IS sceptical) needs a little more than that. Particularly in light of the fact that so many of you kept saying that science changes with new evidence. " A work in progress" if you will ( before anyone starts, I know that noone said it in those words, the words are mine, but am I wrong in saying so?). I'll just add one more thing at this point. Am I right in saying that Evolution states that the life we see today slowly evolved from single cells? Doesn't anyone see the problems with this alone? For that to happen, there would have to be mutations all the way up to the present day, right? Well since when hasve mutations "created" new information? I'm of the school that thinks mutations cause "loss" of information, not gain. Again, I could be wrong. Please tell me if I am, my shoulders are broad enough!
Well that's all for now. I hope people are still reading this link (it's a big'un now!). I'm only stating what I believe in. I don't force my opinions on others, I just stand up for them. I don't want to fall out with anyone. I enjoy this website and I am thankful for all the answers people have given me to my questions and I want it to continue. But please feel free to reprimand me if you think I'm out of line or even out of touch with reality with what I've written. I'm more than happy to carry on with this endless debate.
