Nick, I'm afraid you underestimate the obscene arrogance required to be a hard-core member of the evolutionary faith. You are not permitted to, for example, say... "I can neither prove nor disprove your theory, but I prefer to interpret the evidence differently than you and rely on another theory instead."
That sort of rationality is not permitted. It is replaced with disrespectful comments about your origin, your ignorance, or your lack of education. It seeks to censor your beliefs and any supportive evidence from the scientific and educational community, all the while accusing you of having a closed mind. Recognition of any other theory is unthinkable. Recognition that evolution is also a theory is even more unthinkable. Their religion constantly redefines itself every time its disproved rather than accept the possibility that its fundamental theory could be wrong, and anyone who dares to question its absolute authority is to be demeaned as an uneducated dimwit. Use these terms constantly: Science, quantum, limited perspective, ignorant, science, probabilities, science, close minded. Never, EVER use these terms: Radiocarbon dating, second law of thermodynamics, Lucy, open system tendencies, design, hominids, fossil or Neandertal.
And above all, always ask "HOW did evolution occur?" Never, never, under any circumstances are you to ask "DID evolution occur?"
To expect ANY recognition, no matter how far-fetched, of creationism or ANY other theory of origin is to misunderstand the entire religion of evolution. They, and only they, will define acceptable science. Their inability to recognize that anyone else could be right is surpassed only by their knowledge that you are wrong. Study their words and look for the slightest hint of clear, unbiased open mindedness... and good luck.
