Late versions of the Taube monoplane were used by Germany and Austria-Hungary even in 1916. In 1915 machineguns for observers in 2-seaters were in common use. But I never found any sources or specifications of an armed Taube aircraft. It is hard to believe that Germany/Austria-Hungary sent unarmed planes on reconaissance missions in 1916.

Was there something like a field modification for an armed (for the observer) Taube aircraft?

Thanks in advance!
