Ok you asked for it, you're gonna get it.
I think the Germans LIED about their losses. I think all the surviving post war German records were doctored to one degree or another, AND they decided to cut their losses by half.
Why, you ask? Simple, the German officer corps wanted to maintain some amount of "face". The only way they could see to do this was by making the allies think that even though they won the war, they paid a heavier price than the losers did.
Why else do you think the Germans limited access to their records after the war? They were afraid that too close a look would show that they were indeed tampered with.
That's theory A.
Prove me wrong.

Hi Al,
I enjoyed your last joke very much!!!
It gives me the right mood for the new year!
PS: I guess you will never learn that the German were always killing the last figure in their loss numbers! Proof me wrong!

How many of you Legion of Lowe members are still proud after reading this?
Forgive me Forum (without getting personal), if the absurdity of this thread hasn't convinced you that this is the ranting of a sad, pathetic, beaten individual, I really don't know what else to say.
The premise alone does not merit the dignity of a serious reply,
VBR,
FokkDR1

Al,
Obviously the Fokker DR1 tried to loop but the bottom wing tore off and now he's sweating. You have him in your sights, my advice ... Incendiary rounds only... makes 'em sizzle better.
VBR,
Jim
