As long as everyone is happy, dress the way you want, leisure suits, bermuda shorts, heck birthday suit if that's your style.

I would like to end this intractable farce, but the otherside won't let go.

VBR,

Al Lowe

Alright, AL: NOW YOU'VE DONE IT!

For years I've adhered to the principle originally voiced by Groucho Marx that "I'd never join any club that would have me as a member."

However, by the standards set forth by yourself, I qualify.

Do you have phantom memberships? I mean, nobody off this forum would have to know I'm a member, would they.

Oh, such angst! What would Woody Allen do?

VBR,

Ira

I guess I'm a (reluctant) member, since I answered Yes to three of the four. I'm reluctant because my No was to number 4, and it's quite a vehement No. I'm getting really tired of this never-ending fracas, just as I'm tired of all of the MvR threads that aren't actually about anything.

Perhaps more on this later.

Michael, believe it or not, I've gotten extremely tired of the whole thing. Problem is, it took a more personal attack before I found myself answering "NO" to my own question no. 4.

You don't have to explain any further if you don't want to. However, if you do, feel free to do so.

VBR,

Al Lowe

Al:

As Mike has stated, I find this whole issue about Billy Bishop to be tiring. Insomuch as I refuse to believe that any flier of his stature would submit a fabricated report of combat action, I have up to this point refused to take a position in this dispute. However, this dispute has become more and more a personal attack directed at you, those who support you, and those who support your right to have an opinion. Therefore, in this fight, no I cannot take a neutral position.

Dennis, I do NOT belong to the LoL, because the last time I "enlisted" it took me twenty-two years to break that affiliation, but if compelled to choose sides, I am on Al's.

And I believe that Brown downed MvR because I WANT to, so any of those idiots who want to take violent exception to that stance can take a running leap at a rolling doughnut! ESAD!

Bill
