Hi Barrett,

Nice reply. I hope you haven't given a certain Forumite any new ideas. Can you get a bar for a VC?

VBR,

Dennis

FokkDR1: Yes, you be awarded the VC more than once, it's been done 3 times so far.

Barrett, that's absolutely BRILLIANT!!! I'm surprised I never thought of it!!!

Ok, now we know, Bishop hoped into his trusty SE-5A, took his roving commission a bit too literally and flew across the channel and down the front, landing at aerodromes along the way to refuel, and then stumbled upon MvR's red tripe and shot him down!!!

BUT he was afraid he'd get in trouble for flying so far without proper authorization, so he convinced fellow Canadian Roy Brown to file the Combat report.

How's that???

VBR,

Al Lowe

...and two of the three VC bars were awarded posthumously.
Al...think nothing of it; glad to help! Now if I could just find that hand-written letter from Bishop to Brown....
