Matt,
That is exactly where we part company. I think opportunism, good tactics, and shrewdness are exactly what make MvR a great ace.

Jeni,
How long have you been considering homicide as an alternate life style? <G>

Cee & Matt,
Where were you guys when I needed you? Anyway now you've gone and done it... you've got the MvR groupies snorting and whuffing in their pens.
To all the MvR groupies out there...
Sorry but your argument about successfulness and greatness loses out because the Truly Great One's survive, people like Bishop , Nungesser, Fonck, and Rickenbacker. They face what ever the enemy threw at them and survived to tlak about their experiences. Face it your boy hosed himself by his mistake. Ain't it a bummer to admit that he's not as good as the others despite his numbers tally?!
Jeni,
You don't know now do ya?
VBR,
Jim

We'd still be flying in that circle, fuel permitting. Hawker was a good flyer.

Jeni,
My dear sweet lady, don't dirty your hands with such nastiness. Hire mercenary!

Rittm,
Re your advice to Jeni, I am reminded of the description of our lord and saviour, Duke Nukem.
"The only man who opposes the death penalty on the grounds that it's more fun to do it yourself."
VBR,
Mike

Mike,
I'm not a violent person by nature, but there are just some people that you would love stuff your fist through their rib cage and reach in for their heart and pull. But for a lady like Jeni maybe she should hire out. Of course in the case of rape I think any woman has the right to deal with her tormentor personally and thoroughly.

Why do I get the feeling that whimsy is wasted here?

Mike,
Probably because it is. And for the one... 'DU DOCH NICHT!!!'
I'd be more than happy to keep it light, I have tried to in this thread by poking fun at myself.
Some folks just take themselves too seriously.
VBR,
Jim
