Attention, Forumites: an historic achievement was attained at 10:54 when our own Scott Hamilton posted No. 200 on the thread I began on 23 Nov. It should be noted that Paul Reece gallantly offered me the opportunity to "score" the notable posting, but it's only appropriate that Scott filled that niche--and thanks for the "big hand" Scott (it's worth seeing, BTW.) Besides, I was sleeping in after an all-night session on The Next Book.
Just to recapitulate, here are SOME of the items discussed in the past 16 days: JFK (the president and the aircraft carrier CV-67), water buffalo, Seven of Nine (gulp), Albatros models, snipers, studmuffins, mens' brains (and where they're carried), war elephant(s), Cooper's Laws, Mary's boyfriend who obviously doesn't deserve her, and Joseph Flavius and the Maccabees.
Well done, all hands.
NOW what'll we talk about?

Barrett,
How about this... the Armies of the Darkside have overrun our outposts at the edge of the frontier in the Gamma Quadrant. I propose that we sent out the last Starfighter to find and annihilate all Darkside assets. Where the heck is Luke Skywalker when we need him?
VBR,
Jim

Gee, Barrett,
Can you imagine how boring this would have been if we were all PhDs???????
Scott,
Any chance of pushing that potpourri up to 300?
(Just kidding)
Mike

If we all had phd's it would be in the art of baloney. Did you see the list of topics that we discussed. What a bunch yammering old women we are? Maybe we should all get together and write for soap operas and make money. Jeni and Mary will be our leading ladies, Jim ace will obvious play the role of the antagonist, Barret will receive the role of studmuffin or Ursula's towel boy, whichever he desires. We will need a hero and a bunch of sidekicks, any volunteers?

Rittm,
I would prefer that you use the name of unreconstructed rebel when referring to me, as I'll always fight against the 'Carpet Baggers of society'.
Barrett,
You got a part like that in your grand design?
I'LL TAKE IT!!!
VBR,
Jim

I want to be the villain. I've always wanted to have a meaty, mean, badass role. The antithesis of my wonderful, wholesome, nice-guy real-life persona.

Mary: NOW we got a 300+ one going. The guys on the Forum will be lined up in cyberspace for a chance to win your hand. (BTW: I'm single).
Jeni: your turn's coming. Meanwhile, some kindly advice--if you eventually get a chance to work as an 18- to 21-year-old White House intern...
say you have a date with a baron.

Mary,
You can tell that boyfriend that you are going to cast away his sorry behind and get yourself a real man. I'm sure many of the gentlemen of the forum including myself would be proud to treat you like a lady. Those who do not treat you like a lady will rot in hell.
