My Dad served with the R.F.C. during the 1st. World War. Is there any way to find out which squadron he served with?

Hello Neil,
What was your father's full name, and was your dad ever wounded or did his aircraft ever take damage? If so I can find out for you. (casualty lists/damage lists are all I have).

If not someone else may have a personell listing.

There seems to be more info on the Jastas than the RFC/RAF as far as "all who served" type info is concerned. I have been trying to find out which squadron
Jon Michel Largesse served in but so far no luck. (and he was wounded, but doesn't appear in the listings I have.Very strange!!)

Best regards

Darryl

Hi,Neil. If your father was an officer, you may wish to contact the Royal Air Force Personnel Management Centre,Headquarters,Personnel and Training Command,P Man 4A(2a).If he was an airman or NCO,then it will be P Man 4A(2b),RAF Innsworth,Gloucester GL3 1EZ,UK.Normally,they will ask you to pay a service charge(only the officer or his widow are exempt)of GBP.20- favouring Public Sub Account HMG3641.I have found this office extremely helpful. All the very best...I hope you find what you are looking for.By the way,any service record sheet, log book, pay book,etc?Cheers.Mukund.
