The first WW 1 book I ever owned was "The First War Planes" by William E. Barrett. I bought the book for .75c in
1960. It was a great book with a lot of pictures and a fine text. The book was lost many years ago.
Yesterday, while my daughter was getting her hair done, I wandered into a flea market here in Lawrence, Kansas and saw perfect copy of the book, which I quickly bought for $30.00. Also inside of the book were many old newspaper clipings about early aviation. Most of them were about Von Richotfen, but others were about the deaths of Claudius Dornier, and"Pancho" Barnes. So I found a treasure hidden in my tresure. If you guys and gals can get a copy of this book I'am sure you will enjoy it. And even at $30.00
it was less than half of what it cost me for my daughter's hair.

What's noteworthy is that some of us can still remember how much we paid for something in 1960......
