What WWI Aviation Sites to See in Paris

The Musee de l'Air (did I get that right?) is a fersher, as well as the Lafayette Memorial. What about Plessis-Belleville? Any other must-see WWI aviation sites in Paris? Am leaving on Jan 2 and would appreciate your suggestions. Merci.

One place that surprised me and prompted a second longer visit was the Musee de Arts & Metiers, (title/spelling?) I believe at St Marks? Look it up on the subway map. It is right in the center of Paris and right up the stairs from one of the main subway stations and clearly marked. Fantastic collection of all kinds of technology but I spent a whole afternoon getting close-up views of the WWI and earlier aero engines & planes & memorabilia. Lots of great old cars, trains etc. too. Some really unique early aero stuff and so easy to get to and in the middle of so many other interesting shops, restaurants and landmarks. Definitely recommended.

If you like medals try the legion d'Honneur museum. At the museum at Invalides you can see Guynemers uniform as will as other neat stuff. If you collect medals go to the Palais Royale where there are a couple shops. You must also go and have a drink at Harry's New York Bar. It was frequented by notables such as hemingway, Fitzgerald, etc. if you need address, email me.

Frank Luke flew replacement aircraft to the front for the month before he went to the 27th Aero on 25 July. Go to the administrative offices on the chance that they have pictures from WWI era...I don't know if you got my previous note asking you to call (or see) the American air attache in Paris to ask his help with the Frank Luke Project...Again, mon ami, stay away from Sidi bel Abbes and Fort Zinderneuf...Billy H 12/28/99.

No, Billy, I didn't get your mssg about the American Air attache in Paris. Do you have a name, a location, or anything at all? I should have the time available to make this contact if I know who and where to look for them. The US Embassy? I'm open to ideas.
