Vin -

I was paging through the forum earlier today & ran across your post on scout vs. 2-seater victories from earlier this month.

I believe the episode you're looking for, with the RFC pilot flying into the future, was a Twilight Zone called "The Last Flight". Don't know if you can get it, though.

Thanks, Mike. I wrote to the 2 major free to air networks but expect little response. Knowing the name of the episode is a big help, though.

You must have a very unusual memory of detail.

Happy Festive Season. May Santa bring you a great big present.

From the Twilight Zone Web Page (1st season)

THE LAST FLIGHT ***
Writer: Richard Matheson
Director: William Claxton
Cast: Kenneth Haigh, Alexander Scourby, Simon Scott, Robert Warwick
A British World War I flyer lands at a modern air base in 1959.

Note the director. Could this be the same William Claxton who was a 37 vic ace with 41 squadron? I know post-war he became a journalist - might he have directed for TV also? Or possibly his son?

VBR & Happy Holidays,

Ira

I seem to remember Claxton's name as (forgive me, but I did watch the show as a kid!) a regular director for Little House on the Prairie.
