I was just wondering if there were any good books or websites out there on him? So far, I have had very little luck. Thanks, Andy

You can also read "Above Flanders' Fields" by Walter M. Pieters. It's a complete record of the Belgian fighter Pilots and their units during the Great War. You can see the book in the Books' links page of this site.

FWIW, QM Dabney always tends to be on the (sometimes very) high side. But they generally have the largest stock around.

The book should sell for, in good condition $50-$60, and with dust jacket $90-$110.

$15 (or even 15 pounds) was a very good deal.

VBR,

Ira

I'm happy you got a good deal. I was just trying to pass on some information that I thought would be of interest to you or, perhaps, some other forumite.

the book dealer I bought the book off tells me he currently has around 200 WW1 aviation titles for sale. I hope to pay him a visit in the new year. Prices are often lower in the UK due to a general lack of interest in the period and also due to the quantity of books available.

I also bought King of the Air Fighters (Mannock story)by Ira Jones for $6, I Chose the Sky (3 SQDN RNAS) by L.H Rochford for $7.50 and Flying Fury by James McCudden $15. YES these are dollar prices!!!! If this Alladins Cave comes up to expectations I will post details.
