My grandfather was a Croix De Guerre medal recipient for bravery as an ambulance driver who was wounded while saving wounded soliders at Verdun, yet can not find his name anywhere, could someone please help me. His name was Louis Earl Timson from the United States.
If the Croix de Guerre have been awarded with a "citation à l'ordre de l'armée" (palm), his name is mentioned in the Journal Officiel (Official newspaper). If it is the case, I can do some researches.
