>Now you wouldn't be from Sydney originally, would >you, Cam ?
lol, why because I disparaged Melbourne's drizzle and promoted Sydney's sun in the one breath?
As to Pheonixes hot climate, it was 37 C (98F) when I was there in September, not too far a cry from Western Sydneys temps. I prefer the heat, but my ice and snow loving wife doesnt. When we were out in Australia for two weeks a couple of years ago, she came in the height of our summer and to Windsor where I lived ( which is a dustbowl even in Australian terms ). The outdoor temp was 47 C ( 117F ) and in the house with the air conditioner blasting away it was 40 C ( 104 F ). She did not have much energy that day. That being said I am like paper when it comes to being able to retain heat in any sort of cold, I leak heat like nothing else, which leaves me permanently uncomfortable. I rug up so bad I look like a Michelan man. You can always spot the Aussie in NE USA, they are ones with the three beanies, four scarfs, six jacket, ski boots and Wallaby Jumper over the top of it all.
Phoenix also needs to learn water conservation, they have restaurants which spray water vapour on diners!! I refused to eat at those places, all those water drop adds they used to play at you on the TV in Australia kicked in lol.
