I am just collecting material about the Automobil and Aviatik AG - especially during its time in Leipzig since 1916. I am not owning until now C&C mags and similar sources. Are there articles contained in these magazins dealing with the development of the enterprise Aviatik?

Hannes:

I thought I would be able to help you on this, but I have drawn a complete blank. They built 11 proeotypes for the IGAF and had the Ci and Ciii in series production. In Austria, they built 638 aircraft between 1914-1918 346 of which were of the D types. Several B series Aviatiks were built in Germany and transferrred to th KuK LFT in 1914-1915.

Thank you, Leo!

I am woundering that the factory built so many fighters in Austria (>50% of the production) but did never get a series production of fighters in Germany despite many tries. Even within the enterprises the exchange of technology and information between Germany and Austria seemed to be bad in WWI.

Additional I found some documents showing the high amount of distrust of the military against the originally Elsatian (spelling?) workforce of the enterprise.

There seems to have been a great deal of mistrust between Germany and her AH ally. There was some of that among the Allied Powers as well. I understand that Aviatik had built some Halberstadt Di under license and had attempted to get contracts with an improved version of that ship called the Aviatik Dii in late 1916. They built a Dii which took part in the second D type competition in 1918. They further built a Dvi and Dvii, but as you noted, no contracts.
