Does anyone know when the
 William Barker documentary is supposed to air on the History and/or Discovery Channels? Or has it already happened and I missed it.

Well, it already aired in Canada, but I have no clue when it's supposed to be shown elsewhere. I'll see if I can find out.

Good timing. I finally got around to reading my Amazon.com copy of "Barker VC" and intended to post a cyber attaboy to Wayne. Forumites who haven't read this outstanding biography are really missing something. The chapter on corps observation work is perhaps the most illuminating part of the book, not only emphasizing the importance of that onerous chore, but how it was conducted.
I also notified the family of Barker's 66 Sqn protege', Gerry Birks, about the book. Birks' grand daughter (who visited the forum some months ago)was particularly interested. Well done, Wayne! If the forum were still posting new book reviews, I'd rate it five cockades.

Mention of Barker and the Italian Front makes me want to ask if anyone as any figures as to Austrian aircraft losses 1914-1918. I have heard that while no one knows for sure, the best figure is 300 lost in combat. Does snyone out there have anything else?
