I need info quick! I am looking for info on where the 1st CAG-BAG was based as well as where other Russian units where, which planes they flew,& any other info please!!!!!!
There was an EVK detachment flying in support of the Rumanian part of the front--I only just received two rolls of microfilm on EVK from Russian archives and have not had a chance to look at it so don't know if it includes any details about that particular section of the front.
I don't think the detachment was more than 6 aircraft of the IM type--I'd have to double-check for specifics.
If you have access to K.N. Finne's _Igor Sikorskii: The Russian Years_ there's some good info on EVK units & locations.
Thank you! Do you have anymore info on other Russian or Romanian units in Romania? I'm getting this info for a fella who is making a Eastern Front Patch for RB3D.
Keith,

Keith,
According to a 30 January 1917 STAVKA order, six (6) Il'ya Muromets bombers were detailed from EVK to "operate on the Romanian Front." Doesn't say where exactly.
I know at different times the 1st Combat Air Group used the Morane-Salnier monoplane.
The Maurice-Farman & Nieuport 17-21 series was also widely used by Russian flight detachments, though I've not seen anything specific for the Romanian Front.
