I was wondering if anyone knew something about Schlasta 2, or if they have a picture of one of their aircraft or symbols?

Hi
I have some fragmentary notes on this unit as follows:
It was formed on 1 Jan 1917 by renaming KG 3/14 and most personal joined in from this unit.
But not the commander Oscar Kuppinger who come from KG 7/41. Oscar was commander until 26 June 1917 when he went to KG 1/3.
Lt dR Franz Brandt(P) was one of the orginal pilots but whent to Jasta 19 on 2 Febr 1917(Later 10 victories).
Also Vfw Julius Tillmann was an original pilot.
Lt Scheller(P) was in this unit in 1917 before joining Jasta 19(4 vict).
Lt Alfons Scheicher an later ace with Jasta 34 B is mentioned to have served in this unit.
Vfw(later Lt dR) Otto Gawron(MG) and Uffz Steinworth(P and later vfw) scored one vict 3 May 1918.
vfw Christina Schiller and Uffz Johannes Dieckhaus of this unit was KIA on 20 Jan 1918.
Oblt Oscar Bechtle(earlier FA 33) took over the command on 18 March 1918 but was WIA on 24 April 1918.
They had one personal who recieved GMK, vfw Wilhem Krake. On him you ought to find photos..
Their first aerodrome was Lörchingen in Elsass until March 1917 when they moved to Cerny. In the later part of April 1917 they moved further to Notre Dame de Liesse.
I think there are articles both of Kuppinger and Bechtle in the old Cross & Cockades....
I come back when/if I find them.
VBR
Gunnar
