I seek help from anyone with access to British newspapers. Lieutenant Joseph Albert Paull, AFC, was killed in a flying accident in Britain on 12 June 1919. I do not know the circumstances (but suspect that it was during an air show). I will appreciate any contemporary accounts, and any obituary notices (other than those published in FLIGHT or AEROPLANE) that may have provided biographical details.

Hugh,

I was going to look at the Times today in the university library so I tried to find something for you. There are loads of flying accidents reported but sadly not one involving a Lieut. Paull. There is a crash reported on 12 June but it refers to the 11th:
R.A.F Officer Killed

An aeroplane which ascended from the Castle Bromwich Aerodrome, Birmingham, yesterday afternoon crashed to the ground, striking a tree in its descent. The pilot, Lieutenant Ingleby, R.A.F., was killed and his companion was injured.

Could the companion have been Joseph Paull, dying of wounds the next day??
