Came across two pictures in my fathers things. They are signed by Capt. O.C. Boots Le Boutillier. They show him flying over the crash sight of the Red Barron. Do you know if he actually witnessed this.

Re: Capt. Oliver Colin LeBoutillier

Yes, "Boots" LeBoutillier, a member of 209 Squadron, R.A.F., was a combat participant in the same battle which led to Richthofen being shot down on April 21, 1918.

Somewhere in the house I have a copy of a piece of fabric once owned by LeBoutillier which was signed by eleven other members of 209 Squadron, including Capt. A. Roy Brown.

Regards,
Cliff Presley

Yes. I was planning on taking them (2) to a resturant here in Houston with an airplane theme. I was trying to get some history so I could get a good price. There are two pictures framed. They are water color and are by R. Carlin

"The Day The Red Baron Died", by Dale M. Titler is a meticulous study of the incidents surrounding Baron Von R's death. A significant contribution to the book was made by LeB. You will find it an important source for documenting "Boots" presence and relevance to the scene depicted in the painting.
