I just got home with my brand new copy of "The Illustrated Red Baron" by Peter Kilduff. So far, it looks pretty good. Of course, any book about the Great War aviation is better than none.

Lots of pictures. A lot of them I've never seen before. I'll let y'all know how it is, from an amateur's point of view, when I finish it.

Kirby:

I bought the book a few months ago. It certainly has some new photos I hadn't seen before such as Boelcke's crash and a picture of all of MvR's family (his sister looks taller than he was). But there are still some pictures that we've all seen 100x's. But overall, it was certainly worth the $20 I paid for it.
