Recently I obtained an information, which I want to give you all. We are used to call the "second" Wolff of Jasta 11 "Hans Joachim Wolff". But this is wrong.
His real/ right name was "Joachim Adolf Wolff" - I learned this from his native town Mühlhausen/ Thüringen - and had to pay DM 30,00 for this information!!

Herr Thorsten: I will certainly not this correct name for Fliegerman Wolff. Meine frage fur Sie: Frank Luke's father came from a place in Deutschland called Dahlheim (neben Bochum). Is there some place that I can get a map of this town, and a little of its history for the next edition of my book on Frank Luke, The September Rampage. Vielen Dank; Billy H/EOM/9/07/99.

I did never know that Frank Luke had a relation to the "Loreley" (near Dahlheim)!

Thank you for sharing this info with us, Thorsten!

Bill, at first you should maybe look at an Internet site:
www.rhein-lahn-info.de/guten-morgen.index.htm

They should be able there to send you the wished material and info.

Hannes

I would suggest: write directly to the mayor (Buergermeister) of the - little - town and ask him for his cooperation. He will surely help you or at least hand on the letter to one who will be able to help you.
