Konstantin Krefft

Does anybody know what his exact duties as a technical officer was? Did he survive the war? If he did, what did he do after the war and when did he die? Thanx in advance.

I'm not quite sure what a technical officer is. I think it was his job to order parts and such for the aircraft. He also was a pilot, and I know he had at least 2 kills. I read it somewhere in one of the Kildruff books.

Actually, I just found something more. on page 130, it says that Krefft did the same job for JG1, while the larger administrative tasks went to Obltn Karl Bodenschatz from

Jasta Boelcke. My guess is they did the paper work and such for the staffel, as well as making sure there is supplies. This is only a guess though.

Wouldn't a technical officer be the guy who was in charge of overseeing all the machanics?
