How about a T-Shirt for India's ONLY fighter ace?
Granted, Indra Lal "Laddie" Roy didn't win the VC, nor was he a high scoring pilot. But shouldn't India's ONLY ace of WWI, or ANY war for that matter get some sort of recognition?
And he did score 10 victories in a period of just 13 days, not a record, but nothing to sneeze at either.
Well, that's my suggestion. Oh, and I think it would be a good idea to use the modern flag of India on the T-shirt just so no one get's confused.
VBR,
Al Lowe

Okay, and how about one for Willy Coppens?
Kind regards,

I can agree to that. I'm actually surprised there's not one for him.
Ok, now we need T-Shirts for Laddie Roy, and Willy Coppens!!

Al
This might sound as if I'm being facetious, but I'm not, nor am I trying to start a non-serious thread. How about one for Billy Mitchell? The USAF owes a great deal to his far sightedness.

Well, if Scott were willing to have a commander series, I suppose we'd need one for Trenchard as well. But, are there any French and German counterparts to Mitchell and Trenchard?

Hmm. For Coppens (and Luke, and Coiffard et al.) we could have them made out of vinyl, with beach ball inflators at the arms and torso, with bullet holes across the back.
I'm all in favour of one for Roy.

Roy et al a great idea. But I will also nominate Sir Frederick Sykes in the commanders slot. He and Trenchard were sworn enemies but Sykes was the first commander of the RFC and basically set the whole thing up with Henderson before T muscled in. A great forward thinker like Mitchell. He's my hero rather than Trenchard in the commanders stakes and always in T's shadow.
Guess I'm the only fan tho'and the only customer for the T-shirt :-(
Cheers
