I am trying to find some pics or illus. of Bruno Loerzer's Albatros D.III, D.V, and Dr.I; and also Ernst Udet's black D.V. My plan is to complete models of these and I'm lacking a lot of info to complete them as my WWI references are pretty limited.

I already have Bob Pearson's profile of Loerzer's Dr.I and a color rep of Udet's black D.V (side view only), and also Squad/Signal pics of Loerzer's Alb, but I was hoping someone could tell me where I can find more pics/illus of the above mentioned a/c. Does Dan-San Abbott have any of these drawings? Any readily available books with nice pics? Any scans of these a/c would be greatly appreciated if that's a possibility too!

Thanks for any help,
Steve

You may have already seen it... if not, look at 8 Jun, Udet's Alb. The gentleman provided a nice color view of a D V.

As for Udet's Dr. I, See the Windsock Pub's on JG 1 (I believe?). Hope this helps...

In my book "Great Fighting Planes" (Octopus Books) it shows Udets DV7 to be red, not black. Perhaps he had several as I believe he was shot down more than once.
