In replies maybe. But in 2000, in preparation for the new Millenium (as we all know it starts in 2001) ALL Threads that I start will be on Billy Bishop!

But by then I expect to have LOTS more material to work with too!!

My goal is to have this "controversy" wrapped up as much as will be possible by 2001. That's my goal at any rate. There's a number of people with consideribly more knowledge on the subject than I that I intend to interview this coming year.

And I hope the result of those interviews will be more than enough evidence/testimony to put to rest the question of Whether or not Billy Bishop was a liar and a fraud.

For the most part, don't expect much of anything new from me for a while, UNLESS of course I find some new earth-shattering evidence that I think you all might want to read.

Good luck with your defence Billy. There are a lot of people who are thankful of your hard work. Although I have my doubts about Col Billy, I do respect him as a brave airman, and you as a great researcher.

Richard, if I can manage to pull this off, I'll definitely consider myself a great researcher then too!

Not to mention that I'll be one of the happiest men on earth as well!!

If not, well, I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that I tried. And even so, I'll not give up until something can be proven ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. And that is a promise.

As far as my bias goes, I've never made a secret that I am 100% a believer in Billy Bishop.

But I want to make it clear to EVERYONE (including FokkDR1 and Kogenluft) that if I should find PROOF, not just minor documentation, but some piece of evidence that can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Bishop lied, or knowingly falsified a combat report, I will be among the first to tell the world. And all of you here at The Aerodrome forum will be among the VERY first to know of it.

Y'know, I'm sort of on your side Al. Bishop is someone I respect and admire as a pilot, and he just seems to me like someone that wouldn't lie about his expieriences. I can't put my finger on why, but I suppose that would be your job to find out wouldn't it? : ) Good luck on your research Al. I hope your comp is one of ours that are up and running in the year 2000, I find those Bishop threads of yours interesting.
