I received e-mail from my cousin in Noo Joisey, with a picture of his snowed-in house. Somethings I do not miss, being on the west coast; blizzards being near the top of the list.
In any case, Happy New Year to everyone, snowbound or not.
BTW, for the obligatory aviation reference:
The NRA awarded "Honorary Life Membership" to a true American hero - Joe Foss.
Foss was a Marine flyer in the Deuxieme Guerre Mondiale with 26 victories and the Medal of Honor.
He retired from the Air Force as a Brigadier General, served as governor of South Dakota, and commissioner of the American Football League.

Egad! Can't believe I've been on the forum now a tad over 3 years. Have met some really fine folks and am all the more appreciative of Kommodore Scott's good work.

...and Joe Foss makes a mighty fine oyster stew!

Billy H wants to let all you forumites know that the 12 inch ruler he placed near his front door was completely covered by last night's storm. But right now the sun is bright on the snow; the escadrilles and Jastas of birds are buzzing Mona's birdfeeders and the deer are eating the paint off my back door. All you westcoasters have to match this winter wonderland is hot smog, but I still wish all of you smogbreathers a Happy New Year. Billy H 12/31/2000 2 1350h.
