Can anyone please tell me when the following British pushers were replaced in front line use by more modern types ?
- R.A.F. BE2c, d and e
- R.A.F. Fe 2b
Thanks very much in advance to all those who will take the time and trouble to answer.
With all my very best wishes to all of you of a really merry Christmas and of a very happy year 2001.

Alberto;
The BE-2's were not pushers, they were tractors. They all had the prop in the front. They were removed from front line service in or about June 1917. They were replaced by the RE-8.
The Fe-2b & D's stayed in service through out the War. After August 1917 they were used as a night bomber.

Dear Richard,
thanks so much for your comments and data.
I am sorry for my previous message subject's wrong terminology, which of course applied to the Fe2b only. I had mainly the latter in mind when posting that message...

The DH2 had been replaced by late 1916 and the last pusher introduced was the FE8 fighter which development had been delayed. When introduced it was already sorely outdated & a death trap for its pilots. Too bad hadn't been introduced 8 months earlier.
