It seems that the Zeppelin missions against England are described in various sources, but I've found little doing the same for naval scouting missions and Eastern Front recon, bombing, etc. Does anyone know of a good reference on these seemingly underwritten aspects of the Zeppelin air war?

Zony:
I have studied the Armee and Kreigmarine airship operations to some extent. I don't recall any naval operations on the eastern front. I believe the airship operations in the east were carried out by the Armee Luftschifftruppe. After the Armee Luftschifftruppe was disbanded in August 1917 I think that all airship operations in the eastern front ceased.

I can not help you with sources in English language but I am aware at least the following airships of the Marine flying missions in the east (Baltic Sea):

LZ 28 (L 5) - lost against the Russian defence on 7. August 1915 near Plungjany.

LZ 84 (L 38) - lost during bombing mission because of snow load on 29. December 1916.

Schütte-Lanz SL 3 - lost after rudder failure in crash landing in East Prussia on 1. May 1916.

Schütte-Lanz SL 4 - destroyed by storm in hangar on 11. December 1915, took part in operations against island Ösel and others.

Schütte-Lanz SL 8 - too part in the Ösel offensive.

Schütte-Lanz SL 9 - 3 missions in the Baltic Sea but hit by lightning and burned on 30. March 1917.

Parseval PL 6 - made advertising for chocolate enterprise before the war but was taken over by the Marine and used for 4 missions in the east (Baltic Sea).

PL 19 (Marine??) - only one attack in the east against Libau.

Thank you Dan-san and Hannes. I'm afraid I wasn't clear. The two subjects I referred to were meant to be separate; i.e. Zeppelin ops in support of naval activities in any region and Zeppelin (Army and Navy) ops on the Eastern Front.
Also, German language sources would be fine.
Thanks again for the help here.

Chris:
There is considerable data about both Kreigmarine and Armee Airship operatins in Eberhardt's "Unsere Luftstreitkräfte" 1914-1918.
