I want to scratchbuilt Donald MacLaren's Camel. But I need pictures of the a/c. I prefer photo's but any pictures are also appreciated!

There's a Military History issue from 98 I believe that had an article on McLaren including photos and color schemes. I can get you more detail if you need it. I don't have access to the article right now.

Hi all,
I'm just finishing a bio on Don MacLaren for my website (www.constable.ca) Canadian Air Aces and Heroes. I will look through the images I have to date, but there isn't a lot on his aircraft markings. I haven't found any mention by him of any special markings.

I would be very interested in the 1998 article BTW. A reference would be good.

I was just working on my MacLaren bio (gotta finish by Christmas) and I discovered that the photo of MacLaren in front of his favorite Camel, as shown in Drew's book, is in fact an AIRCO DH5, not a Camel at all. So, don't copy the details from this photo 8-}

The citation for the artcle mentioned is Military History, March 1998, vol.14, no 7.
p. 46-52. There is an illustration, description, and two usefull photos.
