My grandfather served with the 649th Aero Supply Squadron during WWI. They were based at the Air Production Center #2 located at Romorantin, France. They were involved in the handling of crated DH-4 Liberty planes and spare parts for same. As an interesting coincidence a fellow at work's grandfather also served there with the 649th.
I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who may have information about the Air production Center #2 or the 649th Aero Supply Squadron. TIA sp |
