Can anyone provide information on the four blade proppellor used on this plane? Specifically I am looking for the type of woods used in the laminations and the manufacturer. A image of the logo would be greatly appreciated.

I had one of these props for the last 12 years. Last year, it was purchased by the Duetsches Techniksmuseum, in Berlin. I will try to tell you what little I can from memory. It was actually two separate two-blade props which went on the hub, one in front of the other. (I'm fairly certain there were some that were regular four blade props, too)
The prop was made by WOTAN, Berlin but I can't remember much of the logo decal. I'll keep that in mind if I come across it in any of my piles of old photos. Good chance I may stumble across it later. The prop was beautiful, in that the blades protruded forward, well past the center hub right near the center shoulders. and the hub was fairly thin becuase it took two of these two-blade props mounted on a single hub. About six/eight inches out fom the hub were several lines stamped into the blade, something like "S.H. III" (possibly with an "a")(and below that, 160 PS (hp) and some design #s.
The color of the wood laminations was a deep Cherry color alternated with a darker than normal spruce or oak ("type")lightwood color. They were BOTH on the darker side and not the striking very dark/very light alternate laminations you see on some props. The contrast was there, but muted.
That's about all I can remember, off the top of my head. Hope it helps.

My Gallery
David:
SSW D.III aircraft with the SSH D.III engine used a 4 bladed Wotan propeller. The decal field was a red oval surrounded by a gold wreath border with gold WOTAN centered on the red field. It was about 80 x 45 mm in size.
Blue skies,
