I've just received the the catalog of the consignment. The catalogue itself, will, I believe, become a collectible! It is really a work of art! It will be interesting as to what occurs with the MvR "Victory Cup". I personally doubt if legitimate provenance can be established. I recall that one of the victim's mothers, shortly after the war, asked the Baron's mother for the cup alluding to her son's demise, only to be abruptly rebuffed. As has been frequently stated recently the MvR collection, in its entirety, is held by the Russian government. A MvR letter to "Nurse Katie" Ottersdorf is also suspect in my mind. For Zane- and all other fans of the "Warbirds": EW Springs RAF and USAS wings are offered along with other memorabilia of the "200".
For Dan-San: I won't be able to get north on this occasion but will get up there over the Holidays. I hope we can visit then. My best..Lee
