Edgar;
No, but I have a good one about a Navy fighter pilot who haunts the hanger at the old Olathe Naval Air Station. I even had a run in with him!

There was a story in the old Crosas & Cockade journal about a pilot who was stationed in Scotland. The aeroplane he was scheduled to fly had been cracked up and a wing spar had snapped. Instead of replacing the spar, a mechanic had taken it on himself to splice and glue in a patch. When the pilot went up, the patch failed and he was killed. It went on to relate that he haunts the area still.

There is one story of a pup squadron who have claimed to have seen `literally` the angel of death in the sky flying in the clouds just ahead of them on one occasion.

I've once seen a photographe on t.v. taken between 21 an 30 april 1917. I don't know when MvR was buried but the picture was taken on the day that he was buried. it is a picture of MvR grave. on the picture there is a vague image of a figure standing next to the grave as if it was mourning.

A theory made by the makers of the program : "the Extraordinary" says that it perhaps was a allied or german pilot giving honour to von Richthofen after his own death. Perhaps it was one of it's 80 victims.

There is also a theory that the figure is the great ace himself, standing at his own grave.
The photographer has sworn that there was no one present at the moment the picture was taken.
