Christer Daun:
Bombengeschwader der Obersten Heersleitung (BOGOHL)Nr.VII was composed of three Bombenstaffeln (Bosta)nrs.22,23,and 24. Each Bosta was equippded with 6(later 8) AEG.G.IV twin engine medium range bombers. the origins of BOGOHL Nr.VII goes back to Kampfgeschwader der Obersten Heersleitung (KAGOHL)Nr.IV composed of 6 Kampfstaffeln (Kasta)Nrs.19 to 24, each equipped with 6 "C" Class aircraft. On 31 December 1916 KAGOHL No.III,V,VI and VII were reorganized into 27 Schutzstaffel(Schusta)each equipped with 6 "C"Class machines. KAGOHL Nr.I,II and IV were reorganized into KAGOHL NR.I,II,IV,VIand VII each with 3 Kasta of 6 "G" class twin engine bombers.
KAGOHL Nr.III (Englandgeschwader) was set up with 6 Kasta, Nr.13,14,and 15 and by June 1917, Nr.16,17 and 18 and were equipped with the Go.G.IV Bomber and later Go.G.V. In December 1917 the KAGOHLs were redesignated BOGOHL and the Kastas, Bostas. I hope this answers your question.

Wingstrut,

BG 8b (Bavarian) consisted of Bs 25, 26 and 27. By order BKM von 2Mar18 Nr. 48149A they were established as follows:

Bs 25 on 1Mar18
Bs 26 on 15Mar18
Bs 27 on 13Apr18 and the Stab (Staff of BG 8b)
BG 8b Stab 15Apr18.

You requested airfields in LATE 1918, and they were:

Etruex (Sep18)
Bolchin (Oct18)

Hope this helps!

Joe I am a pack rat, if it has any thing to do with WW1 aviation, I 'll keep it. I'LL file it my memory and in an appropriate file. I have been doing this since 1937. I have over 1000 books, god only knows how many drawings and document, some original, most are copies. I have over 1000 drawings in 1/72 scale of German fighter aircraft by Jasta with Jasta markings and pilot's personal markings. I habve made studies of German: aircraft production; individual manufacturers, combat units, airships & units, balloons units and on &on. I do this every day. I presently have a contract to produce 10 drawings in water color of German aircraft in 6 views in 1/36 scale. I am a very serious student of WW1 Aviation all sides and aspects.

Hi Dan-San,
wasn't the name of the Bostas 25 leader Crailsheim instead of "Breitheim" ??

Regards,
Mosen
