I am having a problem with my mental processes, Can anyone recall a discussion re: building the airfix kit of the Bristol Fighter ?. I seem to remember reading that someone stated that this beauty was not called a 'brisfit' until the 1920's, can anyone confirm this or am I losing the plot ?.
Regards
Margaret

I don't recall the thread but I am sure you are right. "Biff" is the term that crops up most often in contemporary sources

Yes, it wasn't called a Brisfit until the 20s.

Hi Peter and Alex,
Thanks for confirmation of this fact. I have only recently fallen in love with this aircraft, and regularly visit the Shuttleworth Collection in Bedfordshire to watch their example take to the air.
Regards
Margaret

Do you know there are TWO now? Duxford also has one airborne, and both flew together there during the Battle of Britain display in September: beautiful sight!
