I am searching every information, archives, photos, letters , articles, books, biographies etc concerning the the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center at Issoudun (Central France). I am living at Issoudun and I am studying this very important Training center. I would like to have contact with members of the families of the airmen and soldiers who trained there. Every info will be welcome.
I am 37 years old and I am teaching History and Geography.
My project is an historical study and a fight because we will never forget what the American cadets have done for France.
Thanking you in annticipation
Merci
Phil

Sounds like you are grateful for US help in WW1, as a Yank I am happy to see anyone thank us for our efforts. Please see posts from Stephen Skinner about the Frank Luke memorial and the fund raising efforts. I gave some money to the cause and if you can please let other people know about the fund raising effort. Also you may want to visit the site.

Phillipe,

there are several photographs of Sopwith camels at Issoudun in "The Camel File" published by Air Britain - see their web site www.air-britain.com for details of the book.
