I wish to sell an original photograph of Rhys Davids in his SE at Bekesbourne, signed by him, and the original citation for his Mentioned in Despatches, signed by Churchill. Both items are framed, but the photograph of RD is without glass.
I was going to advertise these thru OTF but not everybody who might be interested is neccessarily a member of OTF. Can anyone advise me of the best place to advertise these items. Many thanks for any advice.

Mr. Revell--
You ask where to advertise your signed memorabilia. Might I suggest that you consider selling either or both of these items at auction on ebay. If you are not familiar with this Internet auction system, I would be happy to provide details off-list about why I believe it may be an appopriate, and rewarding, venue.

You could probably easily maximize the population of potential bidders by alerting relevant newsgroups and militaria dealers.
Regards,
Stef

PS. I would suspect that the document wit the Churchill signature would attract a wider interest among autograph collectors and the advertising for it should, therefore, be focused differently.

Hi,

Just curious, what sort of price were you thinking about for the photograph? He was always one of my favorites. You can contact me directly via e mail.

Thanks,

Dereck

I'm surprised that someone would willingly part with such items. Were it me, I'd sell the bed out from under me before letting go of something so valuable.

Regards,

John Drury
