(Jumps up and down waving arms) Me! Me!

Leave Charles de Gaulle airport and take a right. Drive 4 hours and look for big farm field. Can't miss it.

Billy:

The only way that I could attend would be if I was intending to never come back to NC again. I could never do that, no matter how much I love FLJ's memory. And I certainly do.

But as much as he loved the grand vistas of Arizona and the pure freedom of riding out on the mesa as the eastern sun illuminated the western buttes in the crisp air of the early morning, so do I love those wonderful and colorful sunsets I get by merely walking out onto my front lawn.

That is one of the reasons why I am rebuilding on my original property. Bless Navy Federal Credit Union for all of their help in making that happen.

I would dearly love to be there, Bill. Just cannot do it now. Or then. Spill some of a bottle of cognac over the soil of his death. There is a strong sybollic connection between wine and blood. . .reference the Eucharist (sp?).

BTW, thanks for the replacement copy of SR. It was not by fire that the first died. Someties it is waer that destroys

Love ya, dude.

Shooter: Don't fret none: I'll carry the Forum guidon to Murvaux, for those who can't go. Sent letters to the Ben Franklin VFW Post in Paris, asking them to send some one with a flag to Murvaux; likewise the air attache in Paris. I've covered all of the military people, so with luck we should have good representation on the 18th. If we get that flyover from England, I won't care if the sun doesn't shine much in November.
Shooter, remember that old song: "There's a cabin in the pines in the hills of Caroline..... Billy H 10/05/00

Skinner old top: I think the best thing to do is get a room at the airport, and rent a car for the 18th. What time o' day is the ceremony planned for? Who did you line up for air tickets?
I wrote the VFW Post in Paris and the Air attache, so we may have flags at Murvaux. Billy H with KRs 10/06/00
