Eddy:
Jasta 70 was formed at FEA11at Brieg between 6 February and 22 February 1918. It was base first at Buhl(UmlautU) from 22 February until 25 August at which time it was transferred to Stotzheim Airfield and stay until the EOW. Both of these airfelds were in Army Detachment A in upper Alsace region. There were nine Kampfeinsitzer Staffel(KEST)formed No. 1 -9 for the defense of
Germany. Kest 1 and 4 were divided becoming
KEST 1a and 1b, KEST 4a and 4b. With the division of these KEST they were located at different airfields. All the KEST were deployed in the rear to protect against air attack of German cities, However KEST 3 was deployed in the 19.Armee as a front unit. All the KEST were designated as Jasta on 25 October 1918, no.82-90.
