I'm working on a pc game about Jasta 11. Can anyone tell me something about how a pilot's week schedule looked like?
Thanks..

Good question! While I don't know for sure, I'd hazard a guess that they had fewer regularly scheduled OP's than their Allied counterparts. My understanding is that German fighter squadrons were well-informed of approaching Allied aircraft through the Flugmeldedienst (sp?) and could efficiently intercept incoming enemy flights without the need to hunt for them like the Allies did. This is another example of the price paid by the Allies for their offensive air supremacy role; when you take the war to the enemy, the enemy can sit and wait for you to come.

Robert:
It appears that in period before the accute fuel shortages of 1918, patrols were flown twice a day,at is weather permitting.
With the fuel rationing of 1500 litres per Jasta in 1918. the benzin capacity of a Fok.D.VII was 90 litres, therefore the entire Jasta would be able to fly 16.6 hrs/day. If the Jasta had 10 machines that is 1.6 hr/day, one flight.

Imade an error in my statement, it should be 1.6flight/day, not 1.6hrs. The duration for the consumption of ninety 90 litres depends on which engine is installed. Mercedes D.IIIa consumed 226 g/Ps/hr. Flight duration for a machine with a Mercedes D.IIIa 170 Ps engine with 90l(96kg) of benzin is 2.5 hours. 1.6 x 2.5 hrs=4 hours /day. The 1500l was for all vehicles, planes, trucks etc.
