Could any Italian Forumites tell me where I can obtain more information about Cesare Battisti, Fabio Fizi, and Daimano Chisea? I found some onformation in the Web Site La Grande Guerra and would like to find more.

These three men were Italian ethnics born in the AH empire. When Italy entered the war in 1915, these three threw thier lot in with Italy. They were captured by the Austrians, tried for treason and executed in 1916 in Trent. They were not flyers and I understand this is an offline request.

Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

Leo,if you can read italian you can go to:
http://www.cedocs.it/versione_it/battist_vita.htm
where are some infos abot Battisti's life and glorious death.
I'll search for you other sites about D.Chiesa and Fabio Filzi as soon as I'll have more time.

PS I think you already know that there's been also a number of Italian airmen who were born in Austria-Hungary like G.Parvis (Pessi),an ace,or E.Grammaticopoulo, the son of the distrectual doctor of Trieste.
