This sites page on NZ 17 vic ace, Capt. R. B. Bannerman shows a photo of him that is identified as C.L. Lindburg, one of three 79 Sqdn. members shown in Above the Trenches on the 2nd photo page after page 96. When brought to the attention of TA's Webmaster, the response was that ATT's identification is not correct. This same photo appears in the 1976 C&C Journal, Vol 17/2, page 125, and again the photo of the flyer shown on the TA page is noted as Lt. Charles Lindbergh. In both cases Bannerman is identified as the man standing on Lindburg's or Lindbergh's right. There is anothe photo of "Lindy" on page 124 and 128. In another article in the C&C,Vol. 19/2,1978, there are photos of Bannerman on pages 185 and 186 that agree with ATT's identification. I also have photo's of of Bannerman and Lindberg that came from St. Martin that agree with ATT.
Are all these sources wrong? If not, how do I convince the Webmaster to post the correct photo?
For all the nit pickers who noted the different spelling of Lindy's last name, I have a copy of his combat report on his only victory and he signs it C.L. Lindberg.
